It was a great time to be a homeowner in 2020. Most housing analysts predict it will be even better at the end of 2021. A study by DQNews/CoreLogic of closed transactions showed prices and sales were up throughout SoCal in 2020. Sales across the six-county region in December were 29% above a year earlier and the fastest buying pace for any month since June 2017. Six-county region: 24,995 sold, up 29% over 12 months. […]

The 2021 Conforming Loan Limits have been released. $548,250 – Nationwide (True Conforming vs. Hi-Bal) $753,250 – San Diego County $548,250 – Riverside County $822,375 – Orange County Rates projected to stay low through the first quarter of next year. The median home price in San Diego County blew past the previous record to hit an all-time high of $634,000 in July. A lack of homes for sale also created high competition among home buyers, with bidding wars pushing purchase prices even higher. The traditional spring home-buying season also shifted to the summer following the shutdown caused by the coronavirus last April and May, when sales plummeted.
